Assy Plateau & Turgen Waterfalls Hike (2 Days)

Embark on a journey through one of Kazakhstan’s most scenic highland regions — the breathtaking Assy Plateau, stretching at over 2,800 meters above sea level, and the enchanting Turgen Gorge, famous for its cascading waterfalls and lush landscapes.

This 2-day expedition combines the untouched beauty of alpine meadows, crystal-clear rivers, and panoramic mountain vistas with the chance to witness unique archaeological and historical sites.

From the vast, open spaces of Assy’s high-altitude pastures — where nomads have grazed livestock for centuries — to the refreshing spray of Turgen’s waterfalls surrounded by dense spruce forests, this trip offers an unforgettable blend of adventure and tranquility.

Tour Highlights

Drive through Turgen Gorge — home to over seven waterfalls and rich flora.

Visit Bear Waterfall and Kairak Waterfall, two of the gorge’s most iconic cascades.
